Was blessed to share Thanksgiving dinner here. They give back to the community mightily. Thanks.

Charlie has had a few restaurants in Oregon they've always been good, fast food friendly service

Great breakfast place. The food was delicious and a good value. Wonderful attentive service. Everything was new and clean. Good breakfast selections.

Good home style food. Great salad bar. And Charlie comes around personally and asks how everything is.

Good Food and great service

We walked in and the place was dead. There were maybe 3 other tables. There was only one server and maybe 2 cooks. The server was busting her butt on getting orders, cleaning tables, pushing to get food out, and helping people. However, the food was sub par. Everything was lukewarm. The bacon was burnt. The eggs were asked to be over easy, and they looked like it. However, when you break it open, the inside white was still liquid. We could hear a gentlemen and a lady arguing in the back, and it seemed they were arguing about the daily special (the gent was right, it was the meat skillet). The hold atmosphere of the place was heavy. And of no fault of the restaurant, their credit machines went out and I had to pull cash out from the nearby atm. Hopefully today was just a bad day for the cooks. We will give this another attempt, but our expectations are low.

Stopped for breakfast. Typical diner food...nothing extraordinary. Only one waitress, who was great but a bit overwhelmed. My appetite was lost when I saw the picture of tRump below the cash register. #resist

If you want to give your money to a man that walks into another mans house to steel what is not his, including another mans wife. Charlie is your man.

Amazing biscuits and gravy, the gravy is homemade and you can taste it..generous portions and fair prices. Theres a buffet every sunday that never dissapoints. Charlie personally comes around to make sure everything is exactly how you want it. All the wait staff is nice and easy to talk to. Very inviting environment

Been going here for years and it is still like good ole home cooking. Excellent breakfast joint. And Charlie will still come out of the kitchen and talk to his customers. Super friendly place and the waitress is always nice too.

Food is ok. I really like the eggs Benedict but it is only served during the week.

Charlie comes out to say hi if he's not busy, and the server was super friendly. This place has the best breakfasts in Ogle county. Where the locals eat. Open for breakfast and lunch only.

Friendly, affordable, home style food.

I've had both breakfast and lunch here, both times Jeff Lewis was cooking. The breakfast was awesome and lunch was pretty good... they need to decide on one kind of fries, I recommend the Crinkle Fries, the breaded ones don't taste good. I feel he charges way too much money for the food and the buffet prices are ridiculous!! Jeff is a great cook! His food is always very good! ! Stop all yelling in the kitchen and be all good.

Such a "homey" place. Everyone is so nice and even the owner/chef tries to come out and meet everyone. Love the fish and chicken!

If you are looking for a great breakfast, this is the place to go! One of those places were the owner actually comes to see that you are satisfied! Great meal assortment at a reasonable price!

The food was great, service was nice, the decor was updated. Charlie even came by to make sure all was well. There's a reason why they moved to a bigger location.

Good biscuits and gravy

One the worst experiences I've ever had any where in the U.S. The waitress was clearly not happy. And she mentioned all the wait staff recently quit. The food was terrible. The salad was the size of a nice side salad, they were out of several items. Eggs, cucumber and tomatoes. The open face roast beef was one piece of bread, really bad potatoes and extra salted brown gravy from a jar. What little roast beef there was.... was terrible. They were out of soup all though lt was on the board and menu. Once we went to pay, they told us the credit card machine wasn't working and suggested we walk down the street to the atm. The guy who I presume was the owner, went in and out of the kitchen while he looked like he just got off of his Harley or jumped out of his semi after a long trip. I'm guessing this place will be closed within the next month.

This is my favorite place in oregon. The owner is very nice, and so are the servers. They know my order right when I walk in the door. There is nothing bad to say about this place.

I just moved here and ate at all the places in town and Charlies is the best. Clean good food and Charlie is a great guy. He makes sure your food is great.I won't go any place else. Try it.

Its ok.....just another family restaurant. Bought some goulash there once and was disappointed. It was only noodles in a meat sauce...how do u call that goulash? Staff is friendly and helpful. Never seen the place full. Parking is on the street or u can park in the back.If u go there ask for Bobby. He's gay and where's lots of makeup but he's funny and a good server. Always complement him on his eyebrows. He loves it...
